Can Proton Vpn be trusted?

What do you think about Proton VPN? The service from the creators of the mail of the same name, quite famous, is annoying that there is the possibility of free use of vpn, the privacy policy is quite clean, are there any tricks?

Have you read the terms of service? what is written there about what kind of compensation you will receive if you incur ... let's say, losses during the process of an error on the part of the service? Will there be mistakes on their part?

If you approach from a paranoid point of view, then even your own VPS cannot be trusted - because it is somewhere out there and in fact, how it works and who has access to it - hell knows. And some free VPN and even more so. Are you sure he's not writing logs? Why doesn't he dump them? What is your confidence based on?
