Can Instagram be automated?

I read the article, but I can’t find it, which said that there is some kind of api, self-written, it seems, for the Instagram. Is it official? Or is the api done by reverse engineering?
In general, my task is to somehow automate the addition of photos to Instagram and not be banned. Bluestack does not want to be used.

There is an official API, but access is upon request, but there is with the help of reverse engineering, why BlueStack, I would see if it is possible to make sufficiently "superficial" changes to the original apk (so that the necessary buttons are pressed, etc.), if there everything is in java (dex) then it is possible and install on genymotion or device.
