Can I use Azure for Excel DB inventory?

Tell me, knowledgeable people: I'm looking for an inexpensive solution for online storage of a database of warehouse balances. There are not many positions yet, up to 1000 lines. The idea is that I create an excel file with a customized query in the Microsoft Azure database, send the file to my counterparties, they download it, and then simply update the data, connecting to the database as needed.
Question: is it a sound idea, or a meaningless crutch and can it be simpler?
