Can I share a video from a third-party site to Facebook/VK?

Tell me, please, does Facebook and VK allow sharing videos (MP4) in them?
Given: a site with a video and a link "share on fb" / "share on vk". Click on it, log in to the social network and click share.
As a result, a link to this page/video is posted, but the video is not picked up. Even opengraph doesn't help.
Is there a way to share so that MP4 videos are in your post automatically?

Write to VK technical support - for new sites, video content providers, you need to somehow additionally coordinate with VK.
