Can I pause indexing?

Started migrating to PG13 -> PG14. After filling the dump, the rebuilding of the index began.
The problem is that apparently not all the settings have been tweaked. the process went too slowly.
Is it possible not to cut it off, but to suspend it? To tweak the settings (make them the same as in the 13th version) and then continue indexing, and not start it from scratch?

And by the way, what settings are most important at the time of building indexes?
