Such a situation, now paypal is fully responsible for renewing the subscription and only sends the result (whether it was possible to renew or not) to webhook . The task is to enable the user to send a request to renew the subscription from the site. I.e. The user visits the site (customer), sees that his subscription has not been renewed (for some reason), he clicks on the [renew] button and a request is sent to paypal to renew the subscription and immediately receives an answer whether it was possible to renew or not.
This can be implemented at all, or paypal itself manages the subscription. Now, if it was not possible to pay for the subscription, paypal will try to pay again after 3 days and then cancel it.
