I think he's more powerful than all of them put together.

I agree with sitev_ru. The .NET platform is one of the most powerful.
The most important advantage and disadvantage is that the platform is paid.
Of course, many products are free, but in general, a lot of money is spent on maintaining such a platform, which cannot be said about open source projects. This allows the platform itself to develop rapidly, be stable and maintainable. Support works perfectly - customer support is at a high level. A huge community of developers, a lot of educational material, a lot of ready-made (template) solutions.
The capabilities that the platform provides allow you to do almost everything related to web development.
When it comes to job hunting, .NET certainly has a lot more to offer than anyone else.

C# ASP.NET is the enterprise segment mostly, and most of the work is enterprise accounting systems - not the most exciting thing to be in web development. The same is true for Java.
You are trying to compare products from different segments, ASP.NET will not be able to compete with Python / Django, Ruby / Rails
. there is simply no such competition, they are for different tasks.

Wahahahahaha. such as Python/Django, Ruby/Rails, PHP etc . maybe in 10 years they will be able to compete with what is now in asp 5. (Python / Django - due to the lack of a normal development environment ala visual studio, and Ruby / Rails, PHP etc - slag initially, you just need to learn them for easier entry if you don’t know other languages, and if you know, then don’t even think about it. )

Given the development of ASP.NET and vNEXT, it will soon be possible to ask if PHP and others can compete with ASP.NET

I think it may well give odds on the following indicators:
- convenience and speed of development;
- JIT compilation is better than interpretation, and soon there will be compilation to native code.

Worked with both of these frameworks. ASP.NET MVC is a pathetic parody of Rails , no development speed or convenience is out of the question.
