Can Appium remotely execute commands?

Is it possible with Appium (or anything else) to have a permanent connection to a remote Android device? I'm looking for a solution that worked like this:
We install a client on the device that would wait for commands and execute them like Appium (open the application, click there, etc.). But you need it without cables, without local networks.
