Can an application downloaded bypassing the AppStore access the Sberbank Online application and read SMS if the device is without JB?

Let's say I download Appbonus or a similar application from a third-party site, anything can be in its code. Hence the question of whether one application can impersonate another and gain access to reading SMS (SMS confirmation codes), and thus rob Sberbank Online. Device without JB.
After all, if there is no JB, then it is likely that you will not be able to impersonate Sberbank Online and also read the code from SMS?

Jailbreak, as a rule, provides the ability to access the device's file system. But even with Jailbreak, you need to put the application on the phone into the system ones, otherwise even in this case it will work in a sandbox, beyond which it will not be able to go.
If Jailbreak is not done on the device, then there is no access. Accordingly, most likely the application works like all non-system ones in its sandbox and cannot access the data of another application, including, in my opinion, SMS messages.
You can google, on the Internet you can find the path where the sqlite database with SMS messages lies in the system and try to access this file with a regular application. If you can't, then don't be afraid. But if a Jailbreak is made on the device, then even the Sberbank Online application itself issues a message about this and blocks most of the functions, including payments with transfers.
