Can a phone break memory cards?

There are suspicions that the phone breaks memory cards (Huawei Honor 6A)
There were 5 SD cards in use, from 8GB to 32GB, Manufacturers are all different.
The cards did not last longer than a month, some of them did not even get out of the phone, I always pressed "eject" if I connected the phone or the card itself to the computer. On the card, except for music and pictures in Png format, I did not save anything.
Breakdowns were also different: Either the card was not readable, or it was impossible to change its contents, or half of the files turned out to be inaccessible.
Could the phone be the cause of these constant causeless breakdowns?

It would be good to check two points:

  1. Is there overheating when using the phone;
  2. Is there a situation when there is not enough free space left on the card, and some application starts intensively writing and overwriting something on the remaining piece (although this is a bit strange with different card sizes).

I have a similar situation. The smartphone warmed up, the sensor failed. I reset it through the recovery. It booted up, but the Khan’s memory card. It is formatted to 20 percent and that’s it. Probably the failure was due to the card.

Cards from different manufacturers can now be produced in the same cellar.
Try to buy a card not where you constantly take them.
Card readers sometimes burn cards.
If there is another phone with a memory card that has been working for a long time, try inserting it into this phone.
It's a pity, of course, if it is covered, but you will definitely know that this phone is to blame.
Alternatively, viruses may be to blame.
Once they disabled my flash drive, stuck it into someone else's computer, and there was a whole hotbed of viruses, the contents of the flash drive were stolen, after that it started to fail in black.
I know for sure that these are viruses - I then installed an antivirus on this computer from a CD, there was no Internet, but it didn’t work from a flash drive (it was cleaned by viruses).
He caught a dozen or two of all sorts and the contents of the flash drives stopped disappearing, only then I had to throw out my own after all - it completely turned off.
Check your computer and phone for viruses, all of a sudden they are spoiling you.
