Can a person be hired as a .Net programmer without a higher education?

Will Microsoft and other large companies accept a person without higher education and work experience? And in general, can they be accepted anywhere for any work related?

I've been working as a programmer, including .NET, for almost 16 years, it's scary to think, now I'm in game development as a server developer.
There is no higher education, more precisely, there is no special education at all.

In 2007, I was hired as a software engineer (this is an entry in the work book) in the company https://www.ot.ru/
At that moment there was no higher education yet, I was in the academy.
The boss insisted on getting a higher education, and I myself wanted to finish. So I entered the correspondence course, and by the way got a vacation for the period of the session.
Another point is the requirements of customers. Therefore, I had to receive MCPD + several other certificates.
Actually, that's all. I got a job at the last one, there the count had documents on education, diplomas, if available.
That is, there are no special requirements.
