Can a laptop keyboard be repaired?
Water was spilled on the keyboard of the Asus A6j laptop. Didn't take it apart but let it dry. a week has passed, turned on, everything works except for a few keys on the keyboard. I removed the keyboard, nothing seemed to be rusty.
Tell me, please, is it possible to fix the keyboard or do I need to buy and install a new one? And if so, how?

Nothing bad will happen if you try. I once successfully repaired for an ASUS netbook. You need to disassemble the keyboard, remove all the keys, remove the film on which the contacts are located, and clean it. In addition to the standard cleaning-drying, it is likely that the tracks will need to be painted on with conductive glue (or graphite in the worst case).
Search the Internet, there should be many manuals for disassembling your keyboard.
Repair - hardly. I tried to fix my next laptop keyboard, similarly flooded with water.
There are two contact layers, on top there is a rubber membrane under each button.
So in my case, these two contact layers were securely glued together in several places, and it was not possible to tear them apart in order to process and wipe them.
Exit - I found a keyboard on eBay for $ 15 with free shipping. It changes in 10 minutes. There are a couple of screws on the back of the laptop, they are unscrewed, we snap off the keyboard and turn off the cable.
Also, by the way, asus.
Repairs are subject, but it is long and gemorno. Disassemble completely to transparent films on which the tracks. See which ones do not work and look for / call a break there. If several adjacent ones do not work, then look for a common road. Next, take contactol (motorists should know what it is) and apply an even and thin layer. After 10-20 minutes, the contact will be normal, complete drying in a day. More than a dozen keyboards restored in this way.
