Can a laptop be upgraded?

I have an old Samsung NP-R40 laptop. Is it possible to fully upgrade it or just throw it away?

I think that a new laptop will be cheaper than choosing a new motherboard for the old case, keyboard and matrix, plus strapping (processor, memory, power supply, etc.).

the only option, it seems to me, is to add RAM, change the disk to ssd (if it is sat there)
But in general, it's easier to throw it away

Throw it out, because it can have a maximum of 2GB of RAM. This is the most banal bottleneck, not even counting the others, which will not allow it to work normally.
I'm talking about a complete replacement of everything. It is somehow strange to save on the body (and nerves).

Notebooks can only upgrade memory (if there are more slots) and a disk. And that - not everywhere and not always. The rest is basically impossible there - because it's soldered tightly :) Notes - they are usually not about upgrading - they buy, work, sell ...
