Can a CRL path contain spaces?

Faced a problem: the client part of the software ("thick client") checks the list of revoked certificates. Moreover, if the CRL path is specified with spaces in the certificate, the client crashes with an error that the CRL is not available. At the same time, from the same workplace on the same path, you can go through IE and it is normally available, the list of revoked certificates is swinging.
If the CRL does not contain spaces (a different certificate was used), then there is no problem.
Can a CRL contain spaces? I note that the problem is only with this software, in all other cases known to me, the same CRL is used without causing any problems.

Do you mean the CDP extension? As far as I know, no. And that is why you should always refrain from using characters outside the main set of Latin [a-zA-Z0-9] and some punctuation marks in certificates - you will come across such software that does not process multibyte - and Hakuna Matata.

What type of distribution point address exactly?
(best to give an impersonal problematic example)
If the type is a URI, do you replace the space with %20 ?
