C++ Visual Component Library for Windows
Hello. Lately I've heard a lot of unflattering comments about the MFC library - supposedly it has become outdated, has become a clumsy giant. Actually, the question is - what libraries are currently used to create interfaces for Windows (using native C ++ code)?

MFC has always been a hulking giant, and has not become one. The only viable alternative for Windows < 8 is Qt. Yes, it takes up a lot of space, but nowhere to go. Everything else was not close by the ease of development.
PS Perhaps with Qt5 the problem of large libraries will be somewhat solved, because. will not drag behind him what you do not need. Though I could be wrong.
