C# + Unity3d. Is the game worth the candle?

Hello guys! I was engaged in a little web development, now I finally decided to move to the gaming industry (to be honest, I planned for a very long time). Actually, the question is, is it worth focusing on C # and the Unity engine, or is it better to choose C ++ and, for example, unreal for desktop development?
Ps I know that C++ is more often chosen for large projects because of its features, and to be honest, I saw more vacancies in C++. But maybe I'm wrong or badly searched. What do you think is more promising? And what should you focus on?

The fastest way to start making games is with Unity, Unreal has a smaller community and it's harder to find help in case of emergency, and Unity has a lot of tutorials and better documentation. If you later want to, then Unreal will not be difficult to deal with.

In fact, you have another question: where to start from the beginning, and what to study later. I put the emphasis on the fact that you do not choose one thing, but the order in which you study both.
It's more logical to start with Unity: it's simpler, more materials.
