C# how to figure it out!?

Hello dear forum users!
Help with C# programming language.
More recently, I began to study it with the help of Schildt's book, along with Gudok's video tutorials.
Tell me if I started correctly and why the .net framework is needed, because I can’t understand what it is. Please advise what to do next.

Maxprof recommend installing Resharper in Visual Studio. It will help to avoid a lot of problems with connecting the necessary assemblies and namespaces. And it’s better to take some practical video courses to start with, and then to get into the understanding of .Net and CLR.

Fully support @pi314 - need to GET BACK TO THE BASICS!!!
Even if you start trying to write code using examples + Studio + Resharper (which will do most of the work automatically) - sooner or later, anyway! you have to deal with the basics, tk. there will be examples from books or the Internet that will not work for you! and that's when you have to go back to the basics to understand why...
C# books have already been suggested. I can only recommend - to read and UNDERSTAND from the very first page. Without this, NO...

An excellent book, I was able to master the language in less than a month.
