C++ as a prossplatform language?

Good time of the day.
The question is this: the task before me is to write an application for macOS and Windows, with great integration into such a thing as selenium. I have never tried to write under the poppy, but I have to. I have experience in the pros, but more in c #, a little bit of python there too)).
But the nuance is that my experience in the pros was limited to using the standard features of red studio, and in c # I had the practice of writing quite beautiful (with animations and all that) applications.
1) As I understand it, if you need to write something serious for both wasps, is this a plus?
2) if all the same pluses, then what development environment can you advise? Red studio?
3) again, if there are pluses, then please tell me where to look to learn how to make very original and beautiful applications?
4) if someone had experience, would be grateful if you would share!
