Building windows 10?

Hello, I have a question about rolling back to a previous version of windows 10, namely to version 1709, I now have version 2004, how can this be done correctly with saving data? As far as I understand, you can only roll back one version back? if the windows old folder is saved, but I just need to roll back to version 1709, do I need to download the image or what?

If the windows.old folder is saved, then a rollback should be available with a regular tool.
There is still a method that is not entirely correct, you start the installation of the required version in update mode and, in general, that’s all
