Bug or feature? Are constant reconnects the norm?

After connecting the client, the server needs to send him the events that he missed.
I do this by sending socket.emit after connecting.
As a result, it turns out that there are constant connections / disconnections of the user.
After the tests, it was clear that this was only on the latest versions, I installed 1.7.2 and everything started working fine.
