Buddypress xprofile_updated_profile not firing when adding a new user?

Hello.
When adding a new user, the xprofile_updated_profile function in the BuddyPress plugin does not work.
If, after registration, go to Edit User -> Extended Profile and click on Update Profile, everything is fine.
