Bsdiff: is there something better?

I came across here with the need to count diffs from binaries, googled that they now de facto use bsdiff. Poyuzal - yes, he is good. But I would like to know about analogues and competitors.
I read about Courgette, but I didn’t find any implementations, no one tried to build it from Chromium sources?
I also found exediff, but did not understand how to apply the patch with it.

bsdiff sometimes eats memory oh-oh, in such cases xdelta helps out

I used xdelta a couple of times, it turned out to be quite good.
