C++ / C#

Briefly about C++

Most of the conscious coding used c# and php. Some java. Recently switched to python. But here at the university it was urgently required to write in c++ (visual c++ in the ms visual c++ 6 environment). And basically you need not so much a language, although I don’t know it (there at the level of elementary constructions), but just use win32api. I don't want to spend a lot of time and attention on this. Advise something small and sensible so that I can just quickly cope with my university tasks.

studying at the Lyceum, I used this book. I really liked it, I still use it, if suddenly something happens.

There is winapi, then use MSDN as the best reference (if you know English, of course), offline versions, although large, are convenient. There are also Russian translations, although not official, but still normal.
In general, it still depends on the programming area (GUI, SYSTEM, NETWORK, Multimedia etc). There are good books for most areas.
