Books on operating systems?
Hello. In connection with the course of articles on Habré, interest in this topic arose. Prompt good books on the development of operating systems, which are fundamental in this area. Preferably, where are code examples in C.
Thanks in advance.

Tanenbaum has already been advised.
I can also recommend a very good set of 2 volumes: Deitel "Operating Systems".
We were also advised on the course by Solomon, Russinovich "Microsoft Windows Internals". Interesting, even useful, but too hardwired under Windows, but some useful things can be subtracted. Russinovich's blog is also very interesting - blogs.technet.com/b/mark_russinovich/
Tanenbaum, Modern Operating Systems (3rd edition seems to be the latest)
is considered a classic.
still not quite on OSes, but it was interesting to look through
Understanding the Linux Kernel
By the phrase FreeBSD Rootkits, you can find a grade book in PDF - I don’t remember the exact name and author. Despite the name, it is exactly what you need. There are also many books about rootkits for Windows in stores. This one is nothing at all. In general, I advise you to write drivers.
Brian L. Stuart - Principles of Operating Systems
The whole theory is explained on specific pieces of code from Linux, Inferno and TinyOS.
