Books for gifted children?

Recommend books for 12-14 year olds that could develop an interest in physics and/or mathematics.

You need to tell yourself, and pick up good examples. Just think how much can be explained using the example of a woman's breast =) How many laws of physics, how many different mathematical devices work in creating a color form, etc. And at the age of 14, it's best to use such examples.

Just show the process of creating a BouncingBall game on Unity3D!
Or anything related to physics .
To arouse interest, you need to create a WOW effect and let them try to do something with their own hands.
And what can do all this better than Unity3D?)
Fractals and meditation )

For some reason, it seems to me that at the age of 14 it is already too late to "create interest in physics and mathematics" - it is already time to take exams in them.
An extremely gifted child. Only has no interest in physics or mathematics? Is he gifted in the humanities? So maybe he doesn't need physics?
PS. Do you need "interest" or "a set of knowledge"? According to my observations, modern books provide a store of knowledge, but are absolutely not able to arouse interest. They seem to be aimed at a person who is already interested. If you want to be interested - in the library. Look for OLD books a la "Entertaining physics" and "I want to know everything."
