Blog management without cms, only frontend?

Hello, sorry for the dumb question right away, but somewhere I saw a "thing" for managing a site without a backend, without cms.
Let's say I have a simple blog without any bells and whistles, plugins, counters, stupid text. I don’t want to make a backend for this, let alone hang heavy cms, just static html. Are there any solutions to add posts and edit current ones without going into the code, but on the frontend side?
I understand that it doesn’t happen without a backend at all, because at least there is some kind of server (on php, node doesn’t matter), but I want to upload html, css, js files there and that’s it. And to administer it somehow without going to the server, without touching the code.
