Bitcoin - addresses, accounts, wallets and transactions?

I was reading the official wiki documentation and finally got confused in terms and concepts. Please explain how an address differs from an account and how they differ from a wallet.

The concept of an account does not exist in this system at all.
Wallet - a file that stores your addresses (+ keys) and, accordingly, the money for them.
The address is a unique address where coins can be sent to you.

There are still accounts. Multiple addresses can be linked to one account. "getnewaddress accname" - this is how the new address for the account named "accname" is made. The wallet, as you rightly noted, is all accounts and addresses that are stored in wallet.dat
