BGP: How long does it take for an AS to appear on the WAN?
We connected to the provider via BGP, set up our network announcements. I saw my announcement on the looking glass of the provider. How soon will our AS appear on the routers of other providers?

In my, not the richest, experience, from 10 minutes (until the next bgp feast) or more. You can check yourself against the looking glass peers of your ISP or, if your prefix is long enough, against the looking glass tier-1 operator (level3 as an example).
we had announcements about 12 hours later, so I think, either our provider was stupid for a long time, or everything is really so bad.
Usually the rebuilding of routes from one upstream to another takes less than 10 minutes, I think the first announcements should also pass.
