Best OS for Macbook white (2010)?
Many necessary programs (programming in Python) were no longer supported on MacOS 10.7, on which the poppy worked quietly. I had to install 10.9, but the computer started to freeze a lot. Then there was an idea to put lubuntu, but there I ran into small troubles like:
- Key combinations for switching layouts are put in line with the Win-keyboard;
- Charging indicator is lying;
- After a while, the display adjustment turned off;
- The picture on Linux is not as clear and pleasant as on MacOS, eyes
and the like hurt when working for a long time.
All these problems are solvable (with the exception of the display - I haven’t found a solution yet), but there were a lot of such unpleasant little things, unlike macOS, during work. However, the system is very nimble.
Maybe someone has tried some other distributions and will share their thoughts, which of the alternative macOS systems is the most optimal for macbook white (middle 2010) and other old poppies?
Upd: The issue was resolved by installing two 2 GB memory sticks. and replacing the HDD with an SSD.

Something OSX Sierra didn't install on my MacBook White 2010 :-( I stayed on 10.11.x
But I really have 8 gigabytes of memory in it :-)
Everything works fine, I even run parallel on it.
In my opinion, putting something other than MacOS on a Mac is nonsense.
Upd.
As far as I remember, Macs on the 10th are upgraded by memory and SSD. Of course, it will not fly, but it will be comfortable to work.
Windows should get up there properly.
Apple took care of itself. True, as the second OS.
