I decided to learn c++ and plan to use it for professional purposes. What is the best and most comprehensive guide at the moment? What is needed is a reference book, and not a textbook, since I have programming experience, although not very large in other PLs.

stroustrup to read and reread. it's in the language. on stl and libraries separate books.
