Is there a fundamental difference which password encryption algorithm to use in a symphony project?

I can't call myself a IB guru, but I always try to use BCrypt if possible.
With cost equal to 7, so as not to heavily load the system.

Now the question is more likely: bcrypt or scrypt.
Scrypt seems to be considered more promising, but Anthony Ferrara advises bcrypt:
