backend for android?

In a few days I start a new project (so for myself) the project itself is a chat with the ability to create rooms and use maps (well, nothing special) IMHO the backend of such an application should be fast enough.
Well, advise a framework (why a framework? but because I'm already tired of writing my bicycles and crutches) under java (don't offer spring, I know about it, but IMHO I haven't grown up to it yet) but which python framework can go in?
