Backbone + jQuery = missing DOM elements?

I'm trying to make a simple site with hash navigation for my personal use. I am reading an article about backbone for dummies: habrahabr.ru/post/127049 and trying to apply it in conjunction with jquery. I did not expect, but stalled right at the start.
When you connect the backbone and navigate through the menu, the top elements (left-pane-logo and right-pane>top) disappear somewhere, straight, mystic. Here is an example: jsfiddle.net/4h4c5Ljo/2

Tell me , good people, what's the catch at least?
