Awesome 3.4.13 Where and how to paste the code to disable DPMS?

Mastering Awesome 3.4.13 on Debian 7.6
The screen goes blank on my laptop when I watch a video.
On the official wiki, I found a code to disable dpms.
My rc.lua.
Unfortunately, if I insert the code, then awesome either completely ignores my config, or duplicates the tags and part of the config is also ignored.
Please help me to solve the problem.
