Average earnings of web studios in small cities?

Population - 250,000;
Types of sites - any: business cards, online stores, portals ...
Performers - I take on the bulk, + freelancers on the hook
Technologies: depending on the project. At first open-source CMS: WP, Drupal, OpenCart.
Competitors - several small agencies, are passive, very passive! Those that don't work in the local market anymore.
The city is quite progressive, there are a lot of shops, mostly small-medium businesses.
A question for those who know or those who have verified it on their own skin: how much $ can you earn on average in this scenario?

It depends on the segment that you will spud and how you will promote yourself.
There are three types of referrals:
1. Conveyor - cheap template sites (1-5t r per site). With a ready-made set of functionality and design (only the logo changes). The time for developing and launching the site is from 2 hours to 4 hours for the minimum option, up to a day or two for the maximum. It all comes down to customer flow. If you can make a continuous flow, there will be earnings, if you can’t, then there will be little earnings. The task of such a business model is also to dilute the client into the second or third option.
2. Average level. Semi template. The design is unique, the CMS is ready with a ready-made set of functionality. The refinement is mainly spinning in a slight change in the output of the data. Development time from several days to a week or two. The cost is already from 20 thousand rubles. Everything depends on finding customers and organizing business processes. So that there are no "eternal constructions".
3. Large orders, from 100 tons. Development time from a month or more. Unique design, unique development or purchased CMS (Bitrix, Netkat, ...) with subsequent refinement.
It all depends on the business model, ways to attract customers and the organization of those processes. You can make 1 site for half a year due to eternal alterations, re-approvals and delays from clients and you. And you can make a pack of quick orders in a month.
There is no exact answer here. For there are hundreds and thousands of nuances affecting this.
(The only coder fell ill; the designer was lost before the deadline; the client transmits information for a long time; the developer’s computer burned down; the office was flooded; advertising in the amateur gardener magazine did not give a single client for development for 500t r; Crooked or missing contract and TK do not allow to hand over order to the client, eternal Wishlist and alterations that came out of the budget - everstroy)

If the location of a web studio limits its profitability, then in the general case, I would doubt their professionalism. they just have to be able to sell over the Internet. At the very least, if too much of the clientele filters by the presence of a Moscow address, then you can rent a small office / corner / table and put an account manager, and do the work in your castle ...
