Automatic android resource generation in Gimp?

On Habré there was an article about a plug-in for Photoshop, which resizes resources to all sizes from psd. There is also a Cut&Slice me plugin for it. I am not a supporter of piracy and I cannot afford to buy a license for Photoshop for a couple of uses per month. The question is, is there something similar for Gimp/Paint.NET/whatever? Or even a separate program.

Didn't really understand the problem. If it's just resize - try the free BD Sizer, Irfan View.
