Automated testing with Winium(Selenium) + Python for desktop: where to start?

Good afternoon,
there was a need to write automated tests for a desktop application, Python was chosen for this task, and Winium as a tool , so that later you could switch to Selenium .
Unfortunately, there are very few sources with useful information, so I would like to learn from you useful books, links, video tutorials on automated testing in Python , as well as working with Winium .
It will also be great to know your opinion about this "bundle" and possible alternatives.

And what's wrong with the official documentation, which has all the functions (yes, imagine) and a large number of examples?
Moreover - a banal selenium python request and 2 links from the first 3 give a very detailed manual with pictures and explanations.
Winium itself is connected in exactly the same way as the other WebDriver.
