At what level do you need to know php to learn wordpress?

I learned about layout, took a couple of orders, but realized that I wanted to make working sites. That is, to pull them on the cms system. Chose wordpress. The bottom line is that I understand that I need php to learn wordpress, but at what level and what should I know? So far, I've taken a paid course in PHP. I studied, or rather repeated, some knowledge: data types, functions, conditions, loops, arrays and got acquainted with the syntax of this language.

To be honest, WP development is limited to echo , while and sometimes foreach. Of course, if you write plugins, etc., you need php . But if you only pull the layout - php is required only at the most basic level

It would not hurt to study the WordPress code. I think basic PHP knowledge will be enough

To create websites on Wordress, you don’t need to know anything at all. You just need to be able to press the buttons in the admin panel.
