Asus Eee PC 1201N and RAM?

Asus Eee PC 1201N periodically does not see half of the RAM, I'm already tired of doing a reset in the BIOS. Are there ways to deal with this problem completely, or at least an idea why he does not see it?

Update bios?

If, after resetting the BIOS, it sees all the memory, then it may be worth updating the BIOS.
What settings are then exposed?
And also check the memory bar in another device.

ASUS is a wonderful brand. Sometimes it makes sense to roll back the BIOS version (just a couple of days ago I solved the problem with ASUS VX6). Just be careful - BIOS rollback can lead to a black screen and the need to open the box and remove the battery\clear CMOS. The other day I lost my warranty due to a rollback (the problem was solved, but the warranty was gone :) )

If other settings go astray too, then it makes sense to look and replace the CMOS battery.
