Asterisk on VDS, but call recordings in the cloud, really?

The asterisk costs on VDS. Buying more memory is expensive. Is it possible to store call recordings in a cloud like Amazon S3 or Selectel by uploading them there via API?
If so, how costly and reliable is it to implement?

If you record to mp3, for example, then a local disk should be enough for you, no matter how small it is (if you take into account your words that switching to a higher tariff is expensive, at current prices, then we can assume that the number of calls is not very large .)
If you still want it through Amazon, then you don’t need api there either, but simply mount the bucket as a local disk, and in the asterisk settings you specify where to put the records.

@zepps

Yes, you can do that.
We have made instructions on how to merge all call records to Yandex-Disk from Asterisk
