Asterisk eats a lot of memory why?

Asterisk has a lot of memory:
564.132812 Mb /usr/sbin/asterisk -f -U asterisk -G asterisk -vvvg -c
633.625000 Mb /usr/libexec/mysqld --basedir=/usr --datadir=/var/lib/mysql - -user=mysql --log-error=/var/log/mysqld.log --pid-file=/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid --socket=/var/lib/mysql/

First - unload extra modules - 30-40 pieces can be safely unloaded.
Remove unnecessary kodak - the best option is generally alaw, ulaw - remove the rest and video too.
Turn off qualify=no on internal clients - let them not pull the server in vain.
Optimize mysql - look for settings for the minimum amount of memory - I fit in 128 MB.
