ASP.NET MVC is more relevant of course.
But it is possible that ASP.NET WebForms can also come in handy, a lot of projects have been done on it, which are still supported and improved.
I started with MVC myself. I got a job, and there it turned out that the development is being done on WebForms. I had to learn along the way. By the way, a lot of companies are still developing on WebForms. Personally, I don't like WebForms. But you will most likely need to learn.
Learn ASP.NET MVC and the WebAPI that comes with it (replacing WCF if you like). It is more used in corporate solutions, if, of course, not the old company, where the first projects were on WebForms. Well, the rest according to the template is mandatory: GoF, DI, IoC, OOP ..
MVC will give you a clearer understanding of web technologies. In webforms, viewstate can seem like magic.
The possibilities of component development in WebForms are a cut above. - I personally like to assemble sites from ready-made debugged pieces of content that work on their own. In MVC, with its url binding, this is quite difficult to achieve. Or take the same SharePoint - it is based entirely on web forms and is quite popular in a corporate environment.
And in general, you need to understand that Microsoft is just making money, there will be an opportunity, they will release another thread of the framework for MVP, they will promote it, cut the dough, and then we will puzzle over what to work with), although in fact, everything is the same in the end .
