ASP.NET MVC 4 before MVC 5?

Hello, there are good video courses on ASP.NET MVC 4, on MVC 5, I found only documentation and paid courses.
Can I start learning MVC 4? Is there a big difference between them, do you have to relearn a lot, etc.?

If you just start, understand the principle - not great. If you write a project - big. To study, you should look at least at MVC 5. But I would advise immediately asp core.

Authentication will definitely have to be retrained. Because OWIN is usually built into mvc 5 projects, and in mvc 4 everything is through the websecurity and membership classes. The rest of the sections are almost the same. However, my advice is the same as eRKa's .
