As a web server, how efficient is it to use such hardware?

Is there such hardware, is it possible to use it as a web server?
It is possible to install Ubuntu server/Debian, lamp, nginx, maybe something more.
How effective is it?
PS If you put it in a secluded place, do not touch it.
Means, only for a specific task.
There is a free channel 100 Mbps + external IP.
From email energy is no problem :)
Thank you.

Currently, the concept of 'web server' is very vague. You can even pick up something that will give out a couple of pages even on your phone.
If you are going to use this hardware for one (or several) lightly loaded projects, then it is very good. The LAMP configuration (where L is in your case Ubuntu Server) will fit like a glove.

For a web server and raspberry pi, it’s suitable, what’s already there) specifics then?
In general, the piece of iron is sensible, but due to the speed of access to memory (and disks, if you have sata-2), any modern (haswell or sandy bridge) piece of iron will make yours look like a nut =)
But blog sites with attendance, measured by thousands of people per day, they will settle there quite well, if set up sensibly, and they will rejoice in a decent amount.
