Are you using METRouter?

There was a need to forward multicast through avahi between subnets, but unfortunately, avahi categorically refused to start in the OpenWRT 14.07 virtual machine. The problem was solved in a different way, but the sediment remained. This is the background, and now the question is - are there more recent OpenWRT images for METArouter or is the project dead (googled, but all links lead to one abandoned project)? Are there other system images for METArouter?

If you delve into the implementation of MetaRouter, you will find out that this is a version of QEMU ported to ROS - a full-fledged virtual machine, but very heavy due to the full virtualization of hardware. In theory, you can create the necessary image on a PC, and then transfer it to ROS. However, due to the limited resources of routers (not counting such series as RB1100 or CCR), it is very difficult to perform something useful on them. And taking into account the mass introduction of various virtualization systems, it is also not profitable.
