Are there XMPP/Jabber clients for mobile devices that allow you to send and receive files from/to desktop clients?

With Pidgin, Jitsi, Spark, it is impossible to transfer a file to mobile clients jTalk, IM +, Freelab Messenger and in the opposite direction too. Is it even possible? Transfer without intermediaries like dropbox'a.

Even these correspondences will not give you any guarantees. Everything more or less works only within one client, and then there are nuances.
Jabber is a big bunch of "Type Compatible" programs with no guarantees.
