Are there worthy thesis topics to write in Scala?

Good afternoon.
I am finishing my bachelor's degree (4th year), so the question arose about choosing the topic of my thesis. Of the topics proposed by the teachers, I didn’t really like anything, and somehow I couldn’t find anything suitable myself. Actually, the question is: does anyone have any area or project in mind that can be written in Scala (I really like to write on it), as an option using Apache Spark? An important clarification is that since this is a thesis, there should be something scientific, research in it.
