Are there ways to style the radiobutton under the checkbox?

The customer needs to make the radio buttons in the forms look exactly the same as the checkboxes.
The problem is that the site uses standard element styles (i.e. the view changes depending on the device and browser engine). I have no idea how to do this purely using css - if you substitute ready-made images in the label, then the adaptation of element styles disappears. Also, there are many scripts for customizing form elements, but I have little experience with them, so I do not know of any that could perform the task I need.
Therefore, I want to know from more experienced people, maybe one of you knows a script that would solve my problem or some less trivial solution?
UPD. It is assumed that, for example, in a safari or a webkit, the styles of the elements are different, which is what you want to save.
