Are there utilities that log actions on files and folders?

There is an external NAS (QNAP). With shared folders.
There is no control and logging functionality on the NAS itself.

Perhaps there are some third-party utilities that would collect data that they rename / copy / delete files from the computer from the desired folder or disk ????

Maybe someone faced with a similar problem, tell me.

Thank you.

I suppose that access to files and folders is carried out through a regular Windows share - on the qnap side, this is a samba service.
For samba, it is possible to configure the audit of client actions (there will be an IP address and action in the log) there are a lot of configuration articles on the Internet - for example, here https://www.opennet.ru/base/net/samba_full_audit.t...
You can configure this through ssh access, a couple of tapes back inside qnap was more or less normal linux.

check https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/down... in my mind it should only work for local files, but you never know

On deshman synology on 2 disks, there is an audit, for sure, on any qnap too, you just need to find it in the settings and enable it
