Is there literature or courses on optical character recognition (OCR) systems in Russian or English? I am a 9th grade student and I want to speak at one small conference with a character recognition program, so I need literature (courses) that can be downloaded (watched) for free.

If everything is fine with English, start, for example, with "Evaluation of OCR Algorithms for Images with Different Spatial Resolutions and Noises" ( citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.... ).
And then see the list of references in this work.
